Clinical Practice in a Changing World

The College of Psychoanalysts has initiated two major research projects that have been linked with the question of clinical practice in a changing world.

The first was on the State Regulation of Psychoanalysis which included detailed discussions at an International Conference on the topic in London called by the College in March 2006, and then an edited book ‘Psychoanalytic Practice and State Regulation’ published by Karnac. The College was also actively involved in the judicial review which protected psychoanalysis from governmental interference.

The second major research project concerns the interface between Psychoanalysis and Islam, and will include an International Conference in Manchester in June 2017. We publish below the call for papers, which is also available as a downloadable file here
