An Open Board Meeting of the College was held on Saturday 6th May 2017. Our discussion on the Academy of Psychoanalysis was led by Gwion Jones who gave a most interesting introduction to Freud’s conception of the difference between ‘pure’ and ‘applied’ psychoanalysis, and we together reflected on the advantageous and problematic aspects of that separation.
